ESL and Clutch Entertainment partner to develop Nordic esports

(Cologne, Germany) March 4, 2015 – ESL, the world’s largest esports company, partners with Clutch Entertainment in order to develop the Nordic region’s esports scene. Together with the Stockholm-based esports company, ESL are set to host several tournaments and events in the region.

“The Nordics represent one of the most important gaming regions in the world,” said Andreas Gillberg of Clutch Entertainment. “We’re excited to partner up with ESL to start further unlocking the community’s potential. To begin with, we have a few smaller tournaments set up, but our sights are set on bringing major esports events to the area.”

The first step of the Nordic expansion, will see esports enthusiasts from the area able to take part in Go4 cups and other competitions along with multiple region-specific console tournaments. Devised as a way for aspiring gamers to take their first steps towards becoming professionals, the Go4 tournament series offers esports opportunities to amateur players. Weekly cups and monthly finals allow players from all ability levels to make a name for themselves online.
